This resource is a list of approximately 350 Magic e words and exceptions, sorted by word family. The rule is that when the letter “e” sits at the end of a word, it is usually silent, and the preceding vowel makes its long sound. The magic e vowel combinations are: a_e, i_e, o_e, and u_e. The list is sorted by word family. For instance, -ace, -ade, -age, -ake, -ale, -ame, and -ane.
Also included are 58 picture cards in both black and white and color images. Cut them out to make your own flip book!
