Magic e Word List

A list of some 350 Magic e words and exceptions sorted by word family.

The rule is when the letter “e” sits at the end of the word, it is usually silent and the preceding vowel says its name or long sound.

The magic e vowels are as follows: a_e, i_e, o_e and u_e. 

The list is sorted by word family. For instance, 0ace, -ade, -age, -ake, -ale, -ame, -ane, and so forth.

Also included are a set of 28 words in black and white images as well as color images. Cut them to make your flip book.
