A consonant blend is two or three consonants side by side where you hear every sound, like fr in frog, st in nest and str in string. This pack follows the Science of Reading: children learn each blend group, blend it sound by sound, spell it, and then read it in sentences and short stories. Ending blends are included because children often miss them when spelling (writing net for nest).
